Systems 2000 is trusted by manufacturers of all sizes, across all temperature classes to service their military business and is currently in the top 10 of the Military Million Dollar Vendor List.

The Defense Commissary Agency (DeCA) operates a worldwide chain of commissaries providing groceries to military personnel, retirees and their families in a safe and secure shopping environment. Authorized patrons purchase items that are variably priced plus a 5-percent surcharge, which covers the costs of building new commissaries and modernizing existing ones. Shoppers save thousands of dollars annually on their purchases compared to commercial prices when shopping regularly at a commissary.

  • Headquarters – Fort Lee, Virginia
  • Recently started taking margin on selected items to offset drops in congressional funding
  • 236 stores (178 in the Continental U.S. and 58 Outside the Continental U.S.)
  • Commissaries recognized as the #1 non-pay benefit
  • Vendor Stocking required for some categories
  • Approximately 45% of DeCA shoppers are retirees

Military exchange stores are typically set up like a department store or a strip mall with smaller shops and service vendors nearby. Many installations have an exchange, some with uniform shops, barbershops, laundry and dry cleaning, gas stations and convenience stores, fast food outlets, and lawn and garden shops.

The exchanges are operated independently by each service (Army and Air Force together) to provide goods to their patrons. Funds from the exchanges go to servicing on-base activities such as gyms, playgrounds, movie theaters, etc.

As part of NEX (the Navy Exchange), each ship makes its own buying decisions. Given that Naval Ships needs to be ready at a moments notice, we have a dedicated team servicing them with goods as soon as they are requested.
